Privacy Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

This policy covers this website, appealeyeq.com, and our emails with people who contact us through it. It does not cover the Appeal EyeQ application that law firms use to manage their matters. Firms that use the application are covered by their own written agreement with us, and the information they keep there belongs to them.

Who we are

Appeal EyeQ is a product of Dossier LLC ("Dossier", "we", "us"), which decides how the information described here is used. If you have a question about this policy or your information, write to hello@appealeyeq.com.

What we collect

What you give us. When you request early access, we collect what you type into the form: your name, your firm, your work email and, if you choose, roughly how many appeals your firm files each year. When you email us, we receive your message, your email address and anything you include.

What we gather from public sources. To prepare for a conversation, we may look up publicly available professional information about you or your firm, such as your firm's website or a bar directory listing.

What the site records automatically. The services that host and deliver this site keep basic technical records of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. We use these only to run and protect the site.

Cookies and tracking. This site doesn't set cookies, and we don't use advertising, tracking pixels, cross-site tracking or analytics. Because we don't track you across sites, there's nothing for a browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting to switch off. If we ever add analytics or cookies, we'll update this policy before we do.

Please don't send us information about your clients or their matters, or any sensitive personal information, through this site or by email before you're working with us under a written agreement.

How we use it

We don't make decisions about you by automated means, and we don't build profiles of you for advertising.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We use a few service providers to run the site and our email. They handle information on our behalf and only for that purpose:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena or court order; to protect the rights, property or safety of Dossier, our users or others; or as part of a merger, financing, sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

How long we keep it

We keep early-access requests and correspondence while we're in conversation with you about Appeal EyeQ, and for a reasonable time afterward, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you opt out of news, we keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so we honor that choice. Our hosting providers keep their technical records according to their own schedules.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct it or to delete it, and you can ask us to stop sending you news. Some state privacy laws give residents these rights, and we extend them to everyone who contacts us. To make a request, write to hello@appealeyeq.com. We may need to confirm it's you before we act, and we'll answer within 45 days. If we decline a request, we'll tell you why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying to that message. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections, we limit who can see form submissions, and our accounts are protected with two-factor sign-in. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

Children

This site is meant for law firms and their staff. It isn't directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Where information is kept

We're based in the United States, and our providers store information in the United States. The site is intended for people in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be handled in the United States under this policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you before it applies.
